TWO PAGES TONIGHT MOSTLY ABOUT LOCKING UP THE CAMPER FOR TRAVEL YOU NEED FOUR PADLOCKS I SUGGEST YOU DO AS I HAVE GO TO A HARDWARE STORE & BUY A SET OF FOUR WITH A COMMON KEY THEY ARE QUITE COMMON JUST ASK THE SALESMAN IF YOU CAN'T FIND THEM. BY DOING IT THIS WAY YOU ONLY HAVE TWO KEYS TO SECURE THE CAMPER ONE FOR THE TOOLBOX & A SECOND THAT UNLOCKS THE JERRYCAN HOLDERS, THE TAILGATE & THE CAMPER TOP TOMORROW I'LL GET TO THE TENTS & THEIR FITTINGS Enjoy Rod

Here you see why the drop down shelf on the inside of the tailgate When travelling it is used to make a quick brew or snack the burner is cheap you buy a burner that screws into a disposable gas bottle Both can be purchases at any camping supply shop & cost very little They pay for themselves on your first trip with the savings you make by brewing your own instead of buying at roadhouses Incidently for aussie readers if you look you can see the address where you can fet a kitchen made up to order or purchase a prefabricated one Drifta have a good quality made product to siut most peoples requirements some cheaper than mine & some more expensive with better fittings the address is drifta.com.au [drifta.com.au] Check the site out even o's visitors may get some ideas from it.

These are some of the contents of the small box that fits in the camper either in front of the kitchen or behind it for easy access while travelling the position is governed by the type of tow vehicle you use (explanation below)

This is how your trailer should look when packed & ready to close up & hit the road. In this shot you can asee the small box lid that gives you access to coffee or cookers while travelling more below

Loaded ready to travel note the small stairs keep them handy you need to use them when you set up your next camp. Also this is pictured as if I'm travelling with the solar panel on top of the Load to recharge the batteries while travelling. also note the board on the end of the storage box that's to stop you pulling it all the way out of the trailer If you look closely at the upper right of this pic you can see a small timber box behind the kitchen this us why I told you to leave 12 to 15 inches of space in the kitchen length This box can be used to hold coffee & cookers for making quick snacks while travelling without having to pull out & set up the kitchen (a good time saver)I have mine at the drawbar end of the trailer simply because my tow vehicle has a rear opening door When I had the ute (truck) I kept the box at the rear of the camper then I simply open the tailgate dropped the shelf & away I went as shown in the pics above

The tan cover over the trailer is to secure & protect your tents & poles from damage when mobile. Across the towbar end make it a permanent fitting along the sides & across the tailgate end put eyelet holes then feed a single length of thick elasticised rubber through the eyelets. When securing the tents for travel start at one corner & pull the elastic tight looping it over the hooks to secure (details below) do the two sides of the camper first then secure the tailgate end . This is best done with the camper in the upraised position. Having secured all the hooks lower the camper lid & lock up your trailer

Camper locks in open position to open you simply have both locks (one on each end of the trailer ) in this position & lift the top up with the aid of the hydraulics

Camper top in locked position for travelling you only need to use one padlock to secure the top down to the trailer Apologies, a point I missed. In this pic you see a pull pin this is part of the bracket that holds the jerrycans in place when you fit the bracket drill two meduim holes in the bars then get a length of round steel with a bolt head fitted to one end so it can't slip through the hole you've drilled. On the other end of the bar drill a hole, use this hole to slip the pin through after you've slid it into position to stop the jerrycans from falling off the side of the trailer (I'll post pics of this tomorrow After I take some lol)
